Even in April the water is certainly warm enough to swim in, but that doesn’t really matter to surfers; if the water’s cold, they’ll just use a wetsuit. And the best time to surf is early in the morning; there are few people on the beach who will be bothered with surfers in the water and the wind and waves are often as good as they’re going to get.
I like this picture mainly because it doesn’t include a mass of people. It’s easy to go to the beach and see crowds, especially in Florida where there are lots of tourists. (That’s OK, they’re allowed to enjoy the beach too.)
