This was just one of those serendipitous moments. We were at the beach later than usual, and everyone must leave the beach by sunset. As we were driving up the beach to leave, the sun happened to be in the right spot, right next to the lighthouse. Unfortunately from this angle there is a sign directly in front of the lighthouse that says “keep off the dunes.” With flash, it is glaringly white, but even with the (useless) flash off, it is still visible. In this version of the photo I have carefully removed it and reconstructed the glare.
