I walked about halfway towards the back of the church, as Matt (our guide) said there was an organ back there. I could just barely see it with the lights out at the back of the church, so I thought I’d snap a photo with the flash. This was the first time I’d ever come up against the limits of my poor camera’s flash; the unaltered image is just a faint, ghostly impression. After massaging the image I was able to coax out this grainy look at the organ. This is how all photos taken in low light look to my camera.

The scale in this photo is misleading. Each of those arches at the bottom is nearly two stories tall. This is a huge, open space. It was actually very peaceful in here at night.
