In early 1998, a web ring I was running ran into a small crisis: Web Ring (the ring service provider) was planning to introduce ads into ring navigation. Rather than accept ads, I wrote my own ring navigation software. The web ring has been running on that software ever since.
This is the home page for TheWay, a free ring navigation system. Although it’s been field-tested for seven years now, the software is undergoing code review and being documented in preparation for making it publicly available. When it’s ready, you’ll be able to get it here.
