whoosh is a Flash applet that lets you embed a zoom-style fractal movie in a web page, in a way that is efficient to download and efficient to play. You can play music along with the movie, you can adjust the speed at which the movie zooms and spins, and you can have the movie play through once or play repeatedly (even have it play backwards and forwards).

whoosh originally came in two versions, a limited demo and a for-purchase full version. As of July 2012 the full version is available for free.

Since whoosh is built with Flash, it won’t work on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad). It works moderately well on Android devices which support Flash. I’m in the process of rebuilding it using HTML 5 and JavaScript.
